Case status on one page
In August 2025 Smuvit paid USD 5,000 for a Smoochine 4.0, model PM30CA1B commercial smoothie machine, invoice CI-2025-0801, from Jiangsu Weitian Yangchu Supply Chain Co., Ltd. (Taizhou, Jiangsu, China), operator of the Smoochine brand at smoochine.com. As of today:
- ·Smuvit received two consecutive units with documented defects — on video and in writing. First unit: software / sensor failures. Second unit: severe motor vibration and shaft misalignment.
- ·Smuvit absorbed out of pocket: return shipping to China of the first unit, customs duties on the inbound replacement, and the FedEx fee on the warranty motor — costs that contractually were not the buyer's.
- ·The supplier refused the refund in writing on 9 March 2026, attributing every incident to alleged misuse by Smuvit.
- ·The formal CISG notice (arts. 25, 49, 81) of 11 March 2026 has been over 60 days without a substantive reply, even after the 13 April formal follow-up.
Why this is public
The case file is published for two reasons. First, so that any future buyer considering a Smoochine machine from Jiangsu Weitian Yangchu Supply Chain Co., Ltd. can cross-check the supplier's commercial claims against a documented record before — not after — paying.
Second, as a public record while the claim is processed through formal channels. The file will be closed and this page will be taken down once the supplier refunds the equipment, on the terms already communicated in writing since 4 March 2026.
